Raspberry Martini

I’ve been trying to come up with a raspberry martini that suits my taste for a while now.  Most of them I find very sweet.  When I want a cocktail, I want it to be refreshing, but just slightly sweet; flavorful, but not too boozey!  I think I have settled on this one – since it is NOT too sweet, NOT too boozey, but still full of that amazing raspberry flavor that I adore!  I used a sugar-free ingredient to help cut the calories as well.  Who doesn’t want that??  And maybe you can have more than 1 of these!

Here is my recipe:

1 oz. Absolut Raspberri vodka
1/2 oz Chambord (or other raspberry liquor)
1/2 oz sugar-free raspberry syrup – I used “The Fruit Farm” brand – very yummy!  Found this one at Home Goods!
(You could use Cran-raspberry juice as well)

Add these ingredients to a shaker filled with ice.  Shake til very cold!

Then add 1 oz. diet Sprite.  (this needs to be added AFTER the shaking is completed!  Otherwise it will blow the top off of your shaker!)

Pour into your favorite martini glass.  Garnish with a few skewered fresh raspberries – place these in the freezer for about 20 min to help keep your cocktail cold!  Enjoy!
