Unicorn Brownies

I can’t get enough of the unicorn theme – the colors and sprinkles make everything so festive and adorable! I’ve made cupcakes, cake, and cookies with this theme – now it’s time for Unicorn Brownies!

First of all, I started with 2 box brownie mixes, to keep things simple. Most box brownie mixes are perfectly moist and delicious – and for sure this saves time. Just bake according to package instructions, and cool the brownie. This design is really all about the frosting – which is my butter cream cheese frosting.

This is a great opportunity to perfect your piping techniques, or try some new ones. For my first brownie, I used a 9″ round pan. I used several different piping tips, and colors, then of course I topped it with sprinkles, and a little edible glitter! Creativity is the key here! These look amazing cut into pie-shaped wedges!

For the second Unicorn Brownie, I used an 8″ square pan – to make more “bar-like” brownies. I used an open star tip, to create a “ruffle” design to my frosting – created from the center, using a circular pattern, using a little extra pressure on the piping bag to created the “ruffle”. Pink, purple, and blue are the colors for this one. I placed all 3 colors into 1 piping bag, side by side. Sprinkles and edible glitter finish this one off as well. Sooooo cute – not sure which one I like best!
